After nominally graduating a bachelor’s degree in applied physics I learned a great deal during a year as chairman of a student association and as board of a university student council party. Now I am focusing on my internship and graduation project for my double master’s degree in applied physics and science and technology of nuclear fusion. When I finish my master’s I hope to be part of an interdisciplinary team in which I can use my problem solving abilities to work on technical projects.

Chairman

As chairman of student association SSRE you have responsibility for everything that happens at the association, which has over four hundred members. My focus was to lead and motivate my board and the rest of the association. A year in the board of SSRE is a voluntary and full-time year. During my year as chairman the association moved to a monumental building in the city centre of Eindhoven, a project with many different challenges. During this year I learned how to quickly adapt to- and learn from unexpected problems arising.
